Sustainable building
Sustainable building is also a DHL Express priority. Newly built Service Centers have BREAAM Certificates, are often completely gas-free and equipped with solar panels. Rainwater is also collected and used in business operations. All measures to help ensure that we have reduced our logistics-related CO2 emissions to zero by 2050.
BREAAM
BREAAM is an internationally recognized integrated assessment method for determining the sustainability performance of buildings. DHL's Service Center for the Rotterdam-The Hague region received the BREAAM NL Excellent quality mark in 2017. The Service Centers for the Maastricht and Zwolle regions meet the requirements of the BREAAM-NL Outstanding quality mark, the highest attainable degree of sustainability.
